Late at night in Sholavandan, close to Madurai, a 23-year-old man named Nagarjun was apprehended after he threw a petrol bomb, resulting in both his injury and a fire outbreak.
Police subsequently arrested Nagarjun, 23, in connection with the case and took him for questioning. Police said the petrol bomb landed in front of a house and triggered a fire. MADURAI: A man accused of hurling a petrol bomb at a house in Sholavandan near Madurai was himself injured after catching fire during the attack and was later arrested by police. The incident took place around midnight in a residential area opposite Kamarajar Middle School in Sholavandan. During the attack, flames also caught the alleged assailant, who fled the spot despite suffering burn injuries. Investigators are examining the motive behind the attack and trying to establish whether others accompanied Nagarjun when the petrol bomb was thrown.
