Kochi: India meteorological department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in Kottayam, Idukki, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam and Malappuram on Thursday and Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta on Friday.
