Two men were tragically killed on Friday morning when their motorcycle was struck by a speeding car near Gazipur village in Bijnor district. The victims were en route to work at a local market at the time of the incident. Authorities have detained the driver of the car for questioning, as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Najibabad SHO Amit Kumar said the victims include Mohammad Shamoon, 40, of Gazipur village, and Qadir, 45, of Fazalpur Habib under Kiratpur police station limits. As the two reached the Jamalti cut near Gazipur around 8 am, a speeding car hit them. Police said further legal action will be determined based on the ongoing investigation and the post-mortem reports. They died on the spot before medical assistance could arrive. Police reached the spot and sent the bodies to district hospital for post-mortem. Download the TOI App.
