2 Nepal nationals killed, 20 injured as bus rams trailer in Amroha

Bulandshahr : Two Nepal nationals were killed and around 20 others injured after a private bus carrying migrant workers returning home from Ladakh rammed into a cement-laden trailer on national highway-9 in Amroha’s Gajraula area early Monday, police said. One of the workers, Bhagirath Singh, 58, died on the spot. They were shifted to the community health centre in Gajraula, where another passenger, Shur Bisht, 45, son of Lal Singh Bisht, succumbed to his injuries.
Additional SP Akhilesh Bhadauria said, “Police reached the spot soon after receiving information about the accident and shifted the injured to the health centre. The accident occurred around 5am near Shahbazpur Dor and Mohammadabad villages when the bus collided with the trailer travelling ahead of it. The impact was severe, with the bus hitting the trailer on the driver’s side. Several others, including members of his family, were injured. Police identified both the deceased as Nepal nationals. The bodies were sent for postmortem, and further legal proceedings were underway.”
