25-year-old man drowned in Ramganga canal after suffering an epileptic seizure in Auraiya
Kanpur: A 25-year-old man allegedly drowned in the Ramganga canal after suffering an epileptic seizure in Auraiya district’s Bela police station area on Saturday evening. Fire service personnel and divers recovered the body at around 7.30am after an extensive search. However, the man could not be located due to poor visibility after dark.
Police reached the spot after receiving information and launched a search operation. The deceased, Ashutosh, was walking along the canal when he allegedly suffered a seizure and fell into the water, according to police. Police said the body had been sent for postmortem examination, and further legal proceedings were underway. Download the TOI App.
