Training Program on Mushroom Production at Chandrashekhar Azad University

A six-day training program focused on mushroom production technology is set to take place at Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology in Kanpur from September 21 to September 26. Mukesh Srivastava, the head of the department of plant pathology, emphasized that this initiative presents a valuable opportunity for farmers, students, and urban residents interested in mushroom cultivation or business ventures in this field.

In the 6-day training programme, trainees will be provided technical guidance in detail” said Prof Mukesh Srivastava. To join the training, one is required to submit Rs 1500 as registration fee along with an ID (copy of Aadhaar) and one passport-size photograph. He said along with this, various practical experiments related to mushroom cultivation will also be conducted during the training. University’s media in-charge Khalil Khan said that after successful completion of the training, certificates will be distributed to all trainees. “Our country is agriculture-based and to make rural youth self-reliant, it is necessary to provide training in other industries along with agriculture. After receiving training from here, people can start cultivation of Aster, Button or Milky mushroom.
