70-year-old farmer found hacked to death while sleeping outside his house in Etawah
Kanpur: A 70-year-old farmer was allegedly murdered while sleeping outside his house in Paramdham village under Ekdil police station limits in Etawah district late Tuesday. After completing the panchnama, police sent the body for postmortem examination. The deceased, identified as Siddh Swarup, was found lying in a pool of blood when his wife went to wake him up on Wednesday morning, according to police.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the victim was repeatedly struck on the head with a sharp-edged weapon by an unidentified assailant, resulting in his death on the spot.
Police, along with a forensic team, reached the spot and launched an investigation.
