LUCKNOW: A 70-year-old elderly man was stabbed to death in broad daylight, and his 19-year-old grandson was seriously injured after a dispute following a bike collision turned violent outside a liquor shop on Sitapur Road in Lucknow’s Madiyaon police station area on Saturday, police said. Police said local people identified the alleged attacker as Raj Kumar alias Malai, around 40, who is currently believed to be staying around Markandey Dharamshala in Keshav Nagar.

Madan Bihari Tiwari, a resident of Bharat Nagar, was travelling on a motorcycle with his grandson Sankalp Tiwari for submitting electricity bills when their bike collided with a person near a country liquor shop in front of Krishna Bihari Colony on Sitapur Road, according to the police. During the altercation, the man allegedly attacked Madan Bihari and Sankalp with a knife, seriously injuring both,” said additional deputy commissioner of police (North), Naveen Kumar Singh. A case was being registered on the basis of a complaint from the family, police said.
