Vinay Pandey, a resident of Pipra Pandey, was waiting for a bus to Gorakhpur around 9am along with his wife Shweta Pandey, their two-year-old son Devansh, and his sister Punita, who was with her four-month-old daughter Trisha , according to police. An auto-rickshaw coming from the Uruwa side reportedly went out of control and rammed into the family. The vehicle also hit another individual who was waiting nearby. Locals rushed the injured to the Uruwa Community Health Centre. Doctors declared Devansh dead on arrival while Trisha, who sustained serious injuries, was referred to a higher medical centre. Uruwa SHO Shyamdev Chaudhary reached the spot after receiving information, and sent the child’s body for postmortem.
