Agra: A 22-year-old woman died and three others were injured after a loader hit them while they were returning from evening prayers in Agra, police said on Saturday.
Agra DCP (City) Ravindra Kumar said, “Based on the written complaint received at Trans Yamuna police station, a case has been registered against Khan under BNS Sections 281 (rash driving) and 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder).
Khushboo had completed her MCom and was preparing for banking exams with the aim of securing a govt job, while her family said they had hoped she would build a career and support them. Khushboo Jurel became trapped under the loader’s front wheel and was dragged for several metres before being run over, while her younger sister Bhoomi and their friends Nisha Chaudhary and Shikha Kushwaha were injured. CCTV footage of the incident also surfaced, showing the vehicle hitting the four women. Residents caught the driver, Arbaaz Khan , an Agra resident, after the incident and handed him over to police. He has been arrested and further legal proceedings are underway.”
