An FIR has been registered at Jait police station under sections 103(1) (murder) and 109 (attempt to murder) of BNS.
Mathura DSP Sandeep Singh said, “Seven people, including accused Mahendra, have been arrested. Inquest and postmortem proceedings are underway. Further legal action is being taken in accordance with the law.”
The accused are being produced before the court for remand.
Bunty, a carpenter who lived in a rented house in Indupuram Colony under Jait police station, met Sanjana , 25, while working.
Their subsequent court marriage in May triggered a dispute between their families, police said. The two later developed a romantic relationship, which was opposed by her family.
