Apna Dal (S) Confirms NDA Unity Ahead of 2027 Uttar Pradesh Elections

Anupriya Patel, president of Apna Dal (S), affirmed on Saturday that there are no internal conflicts within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). She expressed confidence that the alliance will secure a third consecutive term in Uttar Pradesh in the 2027 elections.

During a general workers’ dialogue in Prayagraj, Patel emphasized that all NDA partners are committed to contesting the upcoming assembly elections collectively. She noted that efforts are currently focused on strengthening organizational structures across the state.

Patel also addressed the topic of seat-sharing, stating that no discussions have taken place within the NDA regarding this matter. She highlighted the importance of presenting a united front in all 403 assembly constituencies, taking into account the unique caste and local dynamics of each area. The final decision on candidate selection will involve consensus among all alliance partners, based on these considerations.

She said the presence of a large number of workers showed their preparedness for the 2027 polls and urged them to strengthen the organisation and step up election preparations. Patel added that the district was particularly important for Apna Dal (S) from an organisational perspective.

Referring to the 2017 and 2022 assembly elections, Patel said she expected NDA to receive stronger support in 2027 than in previous polls.
