Barabanki Leads In Investment, Lko In Units
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) approved 13 residential and commercial projects across six districts, paving the way for investments worth Rs 2,380 crore and development of 4,724 units.
Barabanki emerged as the biggest investment destination, with two residential projects attracting Rs 751.42 crore and proposing 591 units, according to UP RERA. Lucknow topped the state in terms of housing supply, securing approval for a residential project worth Rs 385.76 crore that will add 1,392 units, the highest among all districts. Varanasi received approvals for three residential projects involving Rs 750.24 crore and 1,189 units, while Ghaziabad got clearance for three projects, including two commercial and one residential, with a combined investment of Rs 286.27 crore and 864 units. In Gautam Budh Nagar, which includes Noida, one residential and one commercial project worth around Rs 186 crore were approved, adding 564 units. Two residential projects in Agra involving Rs 20.35 crore will create 124 units.

UP RERA said timely development of registered projects through transparent processes remains a key priority. The approvals were granted during the 212th and 213th meetings of the authority chaired by UP RERA chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy. The authority noted that the fresh investments would boost construction activity and generate demand for linked sectors such as building materials, transportation and engineering services.
