Agra: BJP MLA Rajesh Chaudhary has sought police protection after allegedly receiving death threats from a Pakistani phone number, with the caller warning him “to stop making statements against Muslims or face assassination. ”
Who represents Mathura’s Maant constituency and is BJP state general secretary, he received the first call late on Sept 28 from a person who claimed to be based in Pakistan and said local associates in India would carry out the killing, according to Chaudhary.
A second call followed early the next morning, in which the caller claimed to be associated with Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and threatened to harm Chaudhary’s entire family.

ASP Mathura Aashna Chaudhary said, “A case was registered after we received a written complaint, and efforts are underway to identify the accused with the help of cyber cell.
