The Balrampur district administration has constituted a medical committee headed by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Mukesh Rastogi to investigate the death of a seven-year-old Class 2 student who fell ill during school hours while a Ganesh immersion procession with loud DJ music passed nearby.
Lucknow: The Balrampur district administration has formed a medical committee led by chief medical officer Dr Mukesh Rastogi to probe the death of a seven-year-old Class 2 student, who fell ill during school hours as a Ganesh immersion procession with loud DJ music passed near her school. The committee has been asked to examine all available medical records, treatment papers, clinical findings and other relevant evidence, and submit a report to the administration. They were booked after an FIR was filed on the complaint of the school manager under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The district has also ordered scrutiny of the school’s infrastructure and compliance. Basic Shiksha Adhikari Vikas Chandra Srivastava is verifying building plan approvals, recognition documents, playground facilities and adherence to prescribed norms.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when the child reportedly fell ill during class hours while a religious procession accompanied by high-decibel DJ music moved past the school. Police on Thursday arrested DJ owner Chandra Prakash Verma and DJ operator Rampal Saini.
