Chhote Singh’s body was discovered hanging from a tree, while Sushma’s semi-nude body was recovered roughly a kilometre away near Ganga river, according to police. Grieving relatives alleged that the crime scene was deliberately staged to mask a calculated double murder, pointing out anomalies such as the husband’s body being dressed in his wife’s clothing. A police team, including ASP Krishna Gopal Singh, rushed to the spot along with forensic teams and special operations group (SOG) and surveillance units to gather evidence. The bodies have been sent for postmortem examinations. Download the TOI App.
