Factory worker died after his motorcycle rammed the rear of a truck parked

Kanpur: A 40-year-old factory worker died after his motorcycle allegedly rammed into the rear of a truck parked on a highway near Rahnas turn under Maharajpur police station limits in Kanpur on Sunday morning, police said.

The deceased, Rajendra Pal, was returning home after completing a night shift at a factory in Ruma when his motorcycle crashed into a truck parked on the Kanpur-Fatehpur highway, according to police. Police said Rajendra sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Sarsaul Community Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead. Police said further action would be taken based on the postmortem report and any complaint received in the matter.

His body was later sent for postmortem examination. The truck driver allegedly fled the spot after the accident, leaving the vehicle behind. Police subsequently took the truck into custody.
