Bijnor ASP AK Shrivastava said, “The incident involved leftover material from fireworks, and the circumstances surrounding the explosion are being examined. Police are also looking into how the firecracker waste reached the spot and whether any safety norms were violated. Bijnor : Two boys were seriously injured after an explosion involving discarded fireworks material in Wajidpur area of Sherkot on Sunday evening, police said.
Rohit Kumar (15) and Rohan Kumar (12), both residents of Wajidpur, were admitted to a local hospital for treatment. The boys were venturing into a field when the explosion occurred. Hearing the blast, local residents rushed to the spot and took them to the hospital.
