The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) is set to hold its annual general meeting (AGM) in Kanpur on September 30. Four directors whose terms are expiring are anticipated to be reappointed during this meeting.
UP T20 League Concludes with Record Attendance
The fourth season of the UP T20 League wrapped up on Sunday in Lucknow, drawing a record attendance of approximately 30,000 spectators for the final match. This successful turnout is seen as a significant factor in the ongoing support for league organizer Kapoor’s role. UPCA officials noted that Kapoor met the expectations placed upon him by the association, reinforcing his position for future seasons.
The AGM is also expected to see the announcement of new selection committees. A decision on the appointment of the coach of the UP senior team for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season, which begins next month, is also likely to be taken. Top UPCA officials, including life member and BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla, were present during the UP T20 League final in Lucknow on Sunday.
