Free breast cancer screening at Kalyan Instt

Lucknow: Women in Lucknow can now access free breast cancer screening, consultations and rehabilitation at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, which has opened a dedicated clinic to promote early detection and help patients access timely care. Dr Durgesh Kumar of the surgical oncology department highlighted the early signs and symptoms of breast cancer and stressed that timely diagnosis improves treatment outcomes and survival.
Dr Bhatt urged women, particularly those above 30 years and those with a family history of breast cancer, to undergo regular check-ups and use the free services.
The facility was inaugurated by institute director Dr MLB Bhatt during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The clinic will function daily, offering screening with a specialised breast scanning device, consultations, counselling and follow-up care. Women who have undergone breast removal surgery will also receive breast prostheses and guidance on fitting them.
