Lucknow: Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA), Uttar Pradesh , continued with its scrutiny of pricing and purchase-sale systems for medicines in hospital pharmacies, carrying out inspections in nine govt medical colleges, 11 private medical colleges and 32 private hospitals. The department has carried out similar inspections since Sept 30 and issued notices to hospitals over discrepancies. The department has reported irregularities related to licences, addresses printed on sales bills and stock and sales records at various hospitals, for which it has initiated action against the hospitals concerned.
