Prayagraj : A member of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has moved the Allahabad high court seeking quashing of an FIR lodged against him for allegedly recording and sharing on social media a video highlighting the condition of a govt primary school in Farrukhabad district.
Legal Challenge Against FIR Filed by Gaurav Bharti
Gaurav Bharti, also known as Gaurav Kumar, has filed a writ petition contesting an FIR registered against him on August 19. The FIR cites violations of Section 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which addresses intentional insults aimed at provoking a breach of peace, and Section 353, which seeks to prevent the dissemination of false or provocative statements that may incite public disorder or communal tensions. Additionally, the FIR references Section 66 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, which pertains to computer-related offenses.
