Muzaffarnagar : Two siblings, aged five and three, died while their parents and eight-year-old brother were injured after the motorcycle they were riding on crashed into a divider on the Panipat-Khatima National Highway near Kawal village on Friday, police said on Saturday.
Village head Surjeet Kumar said Kuldeep Kumar, 30, a labourer, his wife Rakhi, 28, and their children — eight-year-old Kulbir, five-year-old Ansh and three-year-old Deepika — were travelling to Rakhi’s sister’s house when the accident occurred.
Jansath police station SHO Vinod Kumar said the motorcycle crashed into the divider, injuring all five family members. Ansh alias Abhi and Deepika suffered critical injuries, while Kuldeep, Rakhi and Kulbir were also injured.
Tragic Incident in Jansath Claims Two Lives
Residents transported a family to the community health centre (CHC) in Jansath, where medical staff confirmed the deaths of Ansh and Deepika upon arrival. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
