Police investigation underway
JHANSI: A 19-year-old BA student allegedly died by suicide using his father’s licensed pistol at their home in the Gursarai police station area of Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi district on Sunday morning. Police have questioned Munna Lal, while the forensic team has examined the scene and collected evidence. Investigators are also analysing the mobile phone recording and recording statements from family members to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death after recovering a video he recorded on his mobile phone shortly before the incident.
He reportedly says he does not hold his friends, family members or relatives responsible for his decision. Love was found lying inside a room with a gunshot wound after neighbours alerted his family on hearing a gunshot. He was rushed to the Community Health Centre in Gursarai, where doctors declared him dead.
Police reached the spot and launched an investigation. A forensic team collected evidence, and the body was sent for a post-mortem examination. The video recorded by Love shortly before his death has become a key part of the investigation. In the recording, he reportedly addresses his father emotionally, saying he had caused him considerable distress and continued to trouble him.
