Lucknow: A woman murdered her husband with the help of her lover after he caught them together and later dumped his body by the roadside to make the killing appear to be a road accident, police said.
The incident took place on Aug 23 in Shaktinagar area of Sonbhadra. The body was found on the roadside near a stadium. During initial investigation, police suspected that he might have died in a road accident. Investigators examined call detail records and location data, which helped them trace the suspects.
Police arrested four people, including the woman and her lover, on Saturday. Shaktinagar police arrested four people, including the main accused, on Saturday evening.
However, on Aug 27, the victim’s family approached police and accused his wife, aged 35, and her 25-year-old lover of murdering him.
The victim’s wife was in a relationship with another man for about two years, according to investigators. The duo strangled and then slammed his head against the floor, causing severe injuries resulting in his death.
