Lucknow: At least 74 candidates who availed social welfare department’s free coaching for competitive examinations have cleared the UPPSC-2025 main examination.
The social welfare department is running eight residential coaching centres across the state where students, whose annual family income does not exceed Rs 6 lakh, are provided coaching along with facilities like library, internet, test series, notes, recreation, sports, and a gym. Deputy director, social welfare department, Anand Kumar Singh said that of the 74 successful candidates, 35 were from the coaching centre at Bhagidari Bhawan, 18 from Adarsh Pariksha Kendra in Aliganj, and 21 from the Government IAS/PCS Coaching Centre in Hapur. Minister of state for social welfare (independent charge) Asim Arun congratulated the successful candidates and said that providing quality, free training to talented youth, regardless of their financial circumstances, was a priority of the govt. Download the TOI App.
All students who cleared the mains examination will also be offered the facility of mock interviews to help them prepare for the next step in the selection process.
