Lucknow: BSP national president Mayawati will chair an all-India party meeting in Lucknow on Wednesday, the second national-level review held by the party this month after a Sept 3 meeting. Deliberations will centre on the changing political situation across states and the party’s strategy for upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh , Uttarakhand and Punjab, due next year, according to a party release. The meeting is expected to stress selection of “winnable” candidates, expansion of booth-level networks and strengthening the organisational set-up in the poll-bound states. Mayawati will also assess compliance by state units with directions issued during the previous all-India meeting and take feedback on follow-up action taken since then.
