Lucknow: Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Saturday said that there was only darkness in Uttar Pradesh before 2017, but today the state has everything. He said the campaign was part of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, being conducted from Sept 17 to Oct 17, to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s 25 years in public life and service.
Speaking during Seva Sankalp Health Campaign-2026 at Lanka Maidan in Ghazipur, Pathak said, “Under BJP govt, electricity is available, water supply has improved, roads have been upgraded and healthcare services have been expanded in the state. ” “Before 2017, ‘one district, one mafia’ prevailed under Samajwadi Party govt and houses and land were subject to illegal occupation. This change was made possible by govt through its robust law-and-order policy,” he said. Pathak said the campaign was also being used to connect youth and citizens with govt welfare programmes. He said volunteers were visiting villages and communities and informing eligible beneficiaries about welfare schemes.
BJP UP vice-president Krishna Bihari Rai, district president Om Prakash Rai, Rajya Sabha member Sangeeta Balwant and party members attended the event. Today, women can now move out even at midnight without fear.
