Lucknow: Four fresh cases of H1N1 influenza were reported in the city on Monday, taking the total number of infections recorded in Aug to 17, health officials said. Officials said H1N1 cases have been reported across several healthcare facilities this season.
Doctors said their condition is stable and none has developed serious complications. Chief medical officer Dr NB Singh said district hospitals have reserved beds for H1N1 patients and adequate stocks of medicines are available. Two patients tested positive at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), while two others were diagnosed at Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS). All four have been admitted to isolation wards and are undergoing treatment. The latest patients include three men and one woman. At Balrampur Hospital, three patients have tested positive, including a woman who died. Dedicated medical teams have also been deployed to monitor and treat infected patients.
