Lucknow: The city reported 11 new H1N1 ( swine flu ) cases on Saturday, taking the total number of infections to 63 this season. So far, 20 H1N1 patients have required hospitalisation. Of them, 17 have recovered and been discharged, officials added.

Of the fresh cases, two have been admitted to hospital, while the remaining are under home isolation, health officials said. CMO Dr NB Singh said patients whose pre-existing serious or chronic illnesses worsen should also seek immediate medical attention. Chief medical officer’s (CMO) office advised that patients with high fever accompanied by chest pain, breathlessness, low blood pressure, unconsciousness, bluish discolouration of nails, or blood in sputum should be treated as serious cases. Such patients should undergo Real-Time RT-PCR testing and be hospitalised immediately if required. Download the TOI App.
