Lucknow: Three youths died after two motorcycles collided near Bani village on the Tanda-Banda National Highway in Amethi district on Friday evening.
The accident occurred around 5 pm under the jurisdiction of Gauriganj police station. The deceased were identified as Shubham Kumar Pasi, (22), Ankit Rawat, (22), and Rohit (18). Shubham was returning home to Gauriganj from the Rae Bareli side when his motorcycle collided head-on with another bike carrying Ankit and Rohit, according to police. Gauriganj station house officer Ravi Singh said police had taken custody of all three bodies and were completing the inquest proceedings before sending them for post-mortem examination. The collision was so severe that both motorcycles were badly damaged, with broken vehicle parts scattered across the road. The incident drew a crowd to the spot.
