Lucknow: Two men from Hardoi district who were working at the Upper Trishuli Power Project 1 in Nepal have been missing since devastating floods and a deluge hit the region.
The family said his daughters have been deeply distressed and appealed to the authorities to locate him safely. Rishipal’s brother Amritpal said Rishipal, the youngest of two brothers and a sister, had been working in Nepal with Papinder for around three years. The families said they have been in constant contact with the Indian Embassy, Uttar Pradesh govt helpline numbers and officials of the company where the two men worked.
Their families have appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath to ensure that the two are traced and brought back safely. Papinder’s brother-in-law, Shamsher Singh, who is from Punjab, also works at the project as a hydra operator. The families have been desperately waiting for information about the two missing workers since the floods.
