The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Lucknow: UP govt is planning to hold the groundbreaking ceremony for four link expressways within the next few weeks.

Officials said the budget is meant for construction work and payments will be released to contractors in phases.

The Farrukhabad Link and Jewar Link Expressways will be developed in two packages each, while the Jhansi Link and the Agra-Lucknow Expressway-Purvanchal Expressways Link will be constructed as single-package projects, according to the plan. The proposed routes will complement the state’s five operational expressways, improve connectivity between western, central and eastern Uttar Pradesh, and enhance access to both Lucknow and the NCR, officials said. The cabinet chaired by chief minister Yogi Adityanath has given approval to the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to award civil works contracts for the projects to eligible private agencies. The projects are slated for completion within three years.
