World Tourism Day being observed in city on sunday
Prayagraj : On World Tourism Day on Sunday, the department of tourism, Prayagraj organised a panel discussion under the theme “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to redesign tourism,” in the city. The event highlighted the importance of combining Prayagraj’s rich cultural and tourism heritage with digital technology, artificial intelligence and local participation to create new opportunities for tourism promotion and development. Addressing the event, chief guest Justice Manju Rani Chauhan highlighted the rich religious, spiritual, historical and cultural significance of Prayagraj and emphasised the need to effectively showcase its tourism potential. She stressed that the Sangam city’s rich tourism heritage should be promoted through digital platforms, modern technology, social media and innovative promotional strategies to attract more visitors. During the panel discussion, representatives from the tourism, hospitality and industrial sectors shared their views on the use of digital technology and AI, tourism promotion, visitor facilities and promotion of local tourism products and experiences. Individuals and organisations contributing to different areas of tourism were also felicitated for contributions towards Star Classification, Youth Tourism Clubs and promotion and preservation of local culture and folk artists on the occasion.

Representatives from the tourism and hospitality sectors, industry stakeholders, youth groups and local cultural communities participated in the event. Vaibhav Mani and Vinay Tandon from UP Chamber of Commerce, president of Hotel Association Harjinder Singh, Shrey Keserwani (Engineer Works), GS Darbari (Darbari Industries) and Akash Gupta (Hotel Prayag Inn) took part in the event.
