Passengers traveling from Prayagraj to Lucknow, Ayodhya, and other destinations will face higher fares for roadways buses. A recent route diversion aimed at reducing traffic congestion at Phaphamau has extended travel distances by as much as 22 kilometers, leading to the fare increase.

The diversion has added around 22 km to the journey to Lucknow and about 17 km to Ayodhya Dham. The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has consequently revised fares, with passengers now paying Rs 22 to Rs 65 more, depending on the bus service. The fare of Janrath buses from Prayagraj to Lucknow has increased from Rs 355 to Rs 396, while the Janrath 2X2 fare has risen from Rs 387 to Rs 433. Volvo fares have gone up from Rs 545 to Rs 610, while ordinary buses will now charge Rs 343 instead of Rs 308. For Prayagraj-Rae Bareli services, the Janrath fare has increased from Rs 216 to Rs 257 and Volvo fare from Rs 334 to Rs 399. The ordinary bus fare has risen from Rs 188 to Rs 223. Passengers travelling to Pratapgarh will now pay Rs 115 instead of Rs 93 in ordinary buses, while the fare to Sultanpur has increased from Rs 157 to Rs 179. The ordinary bus fare for Ayodhya has been revised from Rs 272 to Rs 298.
