Bareilly road

Bareilly: Potholes as deep as 2.5 feet and waterlogging on the Abhaypur-Rithaura road in Bareilly district have turned a 7km journey into a two-hour ordeal for commuters, affecting residents of nearly six villages.
Despite repeated complaints to officials and public representatives, the road remains in poor condition, making daily travel difficult and raising concerns about commuters’ safety, residents said. Idrish Khan, a resident, said, “E-rickshaw drivers and bike riders often lose their balance and fall near a deep pothole right outside my home. Zafar, a resident of Tulsipur village, said his long commute added to the difficulty.
The damaged stretch poses particular problems for those travelling by two-wheelers and e-rickshaws, with the risk of accidents compounded by deep potholes. We can help whenever we are present, but it becomes difficult for them when nobody is around. He leaves home at 5am for work and returns around 9pm.
