The Railways has announced the launch of a special Puja train to accommodate the increased travel demand to and from Delhi during the festive season. This service will connect Anand Vihar Terminal to Loukaha Bazar, passing through Gorakhpur. The initiative aims to facilitate smoother transit for passengers during this busy time.

Railway officials said the additional service is expected to ease congestion on regular trains and provide more travel options for people travelling home during the festive season. Download the TOI App.
The special train (04014/04013) will run from Anand Vihar Terminal from Sept 16 to Nov 29, while services from Loukaha Bazar will operate from Sept 17 to Nov 30, according to NER chief public relations officer Sumit Kumar . The train will undertake 75 trips to cater to the increased passenger demand during Dussehra , Diwali and Chhath. It will comprise one AC 2-tier coach, two AC 3-tier coaches, nine sleeper-class coaches and six general second-class coaches, ensuring accommodation for passengers across different travel categories.
