Refuting reports of a fight, Vibhuti Khand police said no assault had taken place at the venue

Lucknow: A late-night incident at the Summit Building has drawn attention on social media, with reports suggesting a fight at the popular nightlife venue. However, police clarified on Thursday that the situation involved an intoxicated woman who injured herself after colliding with a glass panel. No altercation occurred, and the incident was misrepresented online.

“The incident was reported from a club on the first floor of Summit Building in Vibhuti Khand during the intervening night of Sept 2 and 3,” police said. They received information that a woman in an inebriated state was creating a disturbance inside the club, according to police. She sustained an injury to her hand and began shouting in pain, prompting police intervention,” police said. Refuting reports of a fight, Vibhuti Khand police said no assault had taken place at the venue and no bouncer was injured.

A police team, including women personnel, was immediately dispatched to the spot. “During the commotion, the woman allegedly hit the glass panel fitted on the club’s podium with her hand, shattering it. They described social media posts claiming a clash at Summit Building as misleading.
