Phoolan Devi also made ‘Eklavya Sena’, a political party, he said. “Those who respect women will have our support,” he said. Addressing a gathering, he described Phoolan Devi as a symbol of resistance, social justice and women’s rights. Nishad alleged that after Phoolan Devi surrendered and entered public life, political leaders used her legacy but later betrayed her. Referring to her killing and the deaths of other political leaders, Nishad questioned those who were in power at the time and demanded accountability for the circumstances in which they were killed. “Is forming a political party a crime?
