Kanpur: Governor and chancellor of state universities Anandiben Patel on Saturday visited the startup exhibition at AI Manthan 2.0 hosted by Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur, and reviewed a diverse range of AI-based innovations developed by startups, universities and research institutions across the state.

In the agriculture sector, AI-powered platforms offered farmers advisory services on crop selection, irrigation, pest management, livestock care and market price forecasting. Healthcare innovations included systems for the early detection of diabetic neuropathy, diabetic foot risks and cardiovascular diseases through wearable AI-enabled biosensing technology. The exhibition also featured AI-based virtual clinics, physiotherapy and rehabilitation solutions that analyse body posture and movement through computer vision technology, and a paediatric bone-age prediction system. In education, startups demonstrated personalised and experiential learning platforms, AI literacy tools, smart classrooms, AI teaching assistants and automated evaluation of handwritten answer sheets. Innovations in academic administration included digital verification systems for marksheets, degrees and other educational records, while climate-focused startups presented AI-powered risk assessment tools to support decision-making in agriculture, finance and governance. Governor appreciated the efforts of young innovators and researchers, emphasising that AI has immense potential to address real-world challenges and accelerate development in key sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and public administration.
