Varanasi: The 67th All India Inter-Railway Wrestling Championship-2026 will be organised at the BLW Wrestling Centre, Banaras Locomotive Works, Varanasi, from Sept 29 to Oct 1. One among the prestigious sporting events of Indian Railways , the championship will witness participation from 13 railway teams representing various Zonal Railways, Production Units and the Railway Board. Around 350 wrestlers, coaches, officials, referees and other participants are expected to take part in the championship.
Teams from Northern Railway (NR), Central Railway (CR), Western Railway (WR), North Western Railway (NWR), North Central Railway (NCR), Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Railway Protection Force (RPF), North Eastern Railway (NER), East Central Railway (ECR), Railway Board (RB), West Central Railway (WCR), South Western Railway (SWR) and Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) will participate in the championship, according to the BLW spokesperson. The inaugural ceremony will be attended by BLW general manager Ashutosh Pant and senior railway officials. The presence of experienced wrestlers, including Olympians and Arjuna Award-winning athletes, will enhance the competitive level of the championship.
