Gorakhpur : The district administration has begun preparations for the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, which will be held from Sept 17 to Oct 17.
Minister Reviews Welfare Campaign Plans
Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh conducted a review meeting at the Annexe Bhawan auditorium to assess the preparations for an upcoming welfare campaign. He emphasized that this initiative aims to connect more eligible beneficiaries with government welfare schemes, enhancing both social and economic outcomes in the region.
He added that the programme would also highlight the impact of development works carried out by the Centre over the past 12 years and by the UP govt over the last decade. District Magistrate Deepak Meena said the campaign would begin with the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme on Sept 17, under which beneficiaries in urban and rural areas would light lamps. Several outreach activities, including ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat’, ‘Namo Seva Ankahi Kahaniyan’, ‘Aangan Milan Seva’ and the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ on Oct 7, will be organised across the district.
