Kanpur: Police on Friday arrested three men in Tihar village, Jalaun on suspicion of illegally manufacturing firecrackers ahead of Diwali , and recovered explosive material and half-made desi firecrackers from a room near a poultry farm.
During an inspection, they found about 11 kg of yellow and white explosive powder and materials used to make firecrackers. The recovered items included about 1 kg of glue, 10 yards of thread, cloth scraps, packets of patangi paper, two plastic baskets and gravel or stones.
