A gig worker and a cyclist were trapped under the falling branches and sustained injuries. An electricity pole near the site also collapsed. As a precaution, power supply was suspended in the area around the intersection on the road from Sikandarbagh towards the DGP residence. Traffic was also hit in the area for hours. With heavy morning traffic, commuters faced difficulties crossing the stretch. Movement remained slow as the fallen branches and damaged electricity infrastructure blocked the road.
