UP developing integrated trauma, emergency-care network: ACS: The wider industry impact

Speaking at the Conclave of Medical Emergencies and Trauma (COMET), Ghosh said the initiative seeks to create a coordinated care chain from accident sites to advanced trauma centres. National Health Mission mission director Dr Pinky Jowel said emergency-care services must reach beyond major cities. He stressed the need for trained manpower and called on professional bodies such as the Society of Acute Care, Trauma and Emergency Medicine (SACTEM) to help build the required workforce. She stressed the need to strengthen community health centres, district hospitals and first responders to ensure timely care before patients reach higher centres. During the inaugural session, the Legacy of Emergency Care Awards were presented to Dr Yash Javeri, Dr Jamshed Nayer and Dr Amlendu Yadav for their contributions to emergency medicine.

Lucknow : To ensure seamless treatment for accident and emergency patients, the Uttar Pradesh govt is developing UP-TENS, an integrated trauma and emergency-care network that will connect tertiary-care trauma centres with govt hospitals across the state, additional chief secretary Amit Kumar Ghosh said on Saturday.
