Varanasi: Uttar Pradesh Congress in charge Rajendra Pal Gautam on Tuesday said the party was preparing to contest all 403 seats in the state in the 2027 assembly election. Addressing a meeting of the Rajbhar community and the Mool Nivasi Samaj Party at Jamalpur in Sadar tehsil of Azamgarh , he said the party was strengthening its organisation across the state ahead of the next assembly elections. On the possibility of contesting the assembly election in alliance, Gautam said seat-sharing talks would begin next month after the organisational work was completed. Gautam said AICC and state observers had worked for nearly a month in all districts and city units to identify district presidents.
