One of the most widely shared recent videos shows an elderly father gently combing his son’s hair moments before he enters the interview building. The father carefully runs the comb through his son’s hair, perhaps unaware that the simple gesture would resonate with thousands online. The video has been widely shared and flooded with messages wishing the candidate success. For viewers, it captures something that examination results rarely reveal — the quiet contribution of parents behind an aspirant’s long journey. In another video, a candidate emerges after his interview visibly excited and lifts his young son onto his shoulders before affectionately embracing him. A separate clip shows a mother adjusting the saree pallu of her daughter just before she leaves for the interview. Relatives accompanying candidates have also been seen offering blessings and words of encouragement at the venue. The open space near the designated selfie point also adds to the mood. An idol of Swami Vivekananda, although not yet inaugurated, along with some of his inspirational quotes, provides a quiet backdrop for candidates and families waiting for their turn. Many candidates pause there for photographs or simply spend a few moments gathering confidence before entering the interview building. There is also a noticeable change in how candidates are responding to the media. Unlike previous years, when many aspirants preferred to avoid cameras after interviews, several candidates are now openly discussing the broad areas from which questions were asked. Coaching institutes and fellow aspirants have also reached the venue to cheer for successful candidates. The interviews are testing candidates on much more than general knowledge.
