On Monday morning, a 31-year-old man caused panic in a residential area of Rajajipuram, Lucknow, when he entered a private residence. Upon being noticed by local residents, he fled to the third-floor terrace of an adjacent building and subsequently jumped off. The incident has left the community shaken, raising concerns about safety and mental health issues in the area.

Lucknow: Chaos gripped a residential colony in Rajajipuram on Monday after a 31-year-old man allegedly entered a house and later jumped to his death from the third-floor terrace of an adjoining building after being spotted by local residents. Manish Kumar Srivastava (31), a resident of Sector 6, Sapna Colony, Rajajipuram, first entered a house in E-Block through the main gate, according to police. Family members told police that Manish, who used to work as an executive in an auto parts showroom, left home around 6 am on Monday.

They also said he had been suffering from mental health issues for some time. When the occupants noticed him and raised an alarm, he moved to the rooftop of an adjoining house. As news of the incident spread, a large number of residents gathered at the spot. They repeatedly shouted at him and tried to persuade him to step away from the edge. Despite their efforts, Manish suddenly jumped from the terrace. Police and locals rushed him to Rani Lakshmibai Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. A video recorded by a local resident has been handed over to the police. The video has also gone viral on social media. Police are investigating why he entered the house and what prompted him to move to the adjoining terrace before taking the fatal step.
