Woman steals 5-month-old baby in Mathura, held in MP
The baby was rescued unharmed from Basaiya village in Morena on Friday morning, nearly 36 hours after the alleged abduction. Police arrested Seema and her associate Sanjeev , 27, near a temple around 7.10am. Police said Seema had married Deshraj in 2018 but remained childless. The duo had travelled to Mathura on Sept 5 to visit religious places, where Seema allegedly met a seer near the station who told her that she had a chance of having a child, police said. Police said CCTV footage, electronic surveillance and local intelligence helped identify the suspects within 12 hours. A case has been registered at Highway police station under Sections 137(2) (kidnapping) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the BNS.
