Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday at his residence in New Delhi. This meeting comes as political activity intensifies in Uttar Pradesh, with assembly elections scheduled for early next year. The discussions between the two leaders are expected to address strategic planning and coordination for the forthcoming electoral battle, highlighting the importance of party unity and campaign strategies in a state where political dynamics are shifting rapidly.
The exercise includes assessments of booth-level organisation, feedback from workers, constituencies where the party suffered setbacks in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and areas where the opposition has sought to consolidate its position.
Shah and Yogi held detailed discussions on UP and the preparations for the assembly elections, according to sources. BJP has in recent weeks been stepping up its organisational activity in Uttar Pradesh, with the party’s central leadership holding reviews of its preparedness across different regions. Yogi’s Delhi visit also follows his meeting with Union home minister Amit Shah in Noida on Friday on the sidelines of Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show.
